April 2020 Newsletter

Last evening after a bit of an emotional day I got a text from a stressed friend.  Her 3-year-old son reacts to bug bites by getting welts and it is usually followed by an increase in body temperature. I had mentioned in passing that specific CPTG oils can help.  She needed help and was too busy to come to my house for a Rollerball pickup. Can you relate to being too busy? I sure can! Thankfully my hubs was home so I could make a quick delivery.

BTW!  I always recommend ordering your oils before unfortunate events unfold- not afterward.  We have so much stress day to day that preparing will cut down the stress of needing something immediately and not knowing what to do.

Most people are honestly skeptical when it comes to essential oils.  I get it- we have been conditioned to lean heavily on pharmaceuticals and masking our symptoms.  I was also skeptical when I started using them. I had only used Eucalyptus and Lavender and how they can help with relaxation and opening the airways.  Until I bought my first kit (The Family Wellness Kit), and a couple of months later came down with a contested head and stabbing pains throughout my face.

I called my oil mentor and asked for a recipe that could help.  She gave me this bomber recipe that consisted of four of the oils I had already had in my possession.  I did what was suggested and in two days I was symptom-free. That was my turning point. I was done running to the Dr. for every little thing.

Ok, back to my friend’s story!

This mom, in particular, was prescribed to give her kid some pain reliever that can help bring the temp down.  She wanted something more-something natural. She was stressed out about the well being of her kid. Do you blame her?  I sure don’t.

I made up two rollerballs. One for an increase in temp and one for bug bites.  I only recommend doTERRA essential oils ever! That is because they are 3rd party tested for purity and are certified pure therapeutic grade.  No other essential company does that! Imagine you as a caregiver feeling comfortable and confident in which essential oils you put on and use with your family.  Essential oils are not created equal-buy from a company that is trustworthy.

Would you like to know the recipe?

Temp support:

5 drops Peppermint

5 drops Spearmint

5 drops Eucalyptus

5 drops Yarrow Pom

Fill the rest of the 10ml rollerball with fractionated coconut oil and shake well.  Apply to the bottoms the feet and back of spine

Bug Bites:

10 drops Basil

5 drops Peppermint

5 drops Lavender

5 drops Copaiba

Fill the rest of the 10ml rollerball with fractionated coconut oil and shake well.  Apply to targeted area.

I got a text about 30 minutes after I left, stating “his temp was normal again and no Motrin!”  She was pumped and may have felt a bit less stressed-what do you think?

I felt such a relief for her and her family!  Parenting is no joke and if you can have helpful natural tools that are pennies per drop-why not?!

*You may be wondering why I was having an emotional day. Read on if you want to know why.  If not, oh well.

I have been warning, pleading and asking over and over for some help with our beloved chickens. The hubs and our boy DO NOT like them and I have stopped asking them for help.

On the other hand, our daughter adores them, but she is not much help in caring for them.  She is ten and I totally get why she doesn’t want to help. It’s a lot of work and they are kinda stinky. I decided to gift our seven chickens to a deserving couple after months and months of pleading for help.  I asked around and one of our clients’ parents that are retired took them last evening.

I was not doing a great job of caring for them and needed something off my plate.  This was not an easy decision and I still feel utter guilt for failing. Our daughter is going back and forth saying,” it’s ok, I didn’t help out and you warned me”- to- “I can’t believe you made us give them away”.  Ugh, again parenthood is no joke.

So, I push on and rub Console on my feet and I am diffusing Balance to feel some emotional relief. Sometimes we need to know when to throw in the towel so we can be less stressed.

I hope to have some more chickens one day.

Maybe then, I will get some damn help with them.
